Police say a head-on car crash in Brooklyn left one man dead and two other people injured.

The collision happened late Saturday in Sheepshead Bay, on the Ocean Parkway.

Police say a BMW was heading south on the parkway when the driver lost control of the car, struck the center divider and crossed over it into oncoming traffic, where it hit a minivan.

Police say all three people in the vehicles suffered serious body trauma.

The driver of the van, Jamal Iqual, 23, was pronounced dead at Coney Island Hospital.

The driver of the BMW was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

His passenger was taken to Lutheran Medical Center, where she was listed in stable condition. No arrests have been made. The investigation continues. -- AP
