One man killed, one injured in car crash
A Bay Shore man was killed and another man was hurt after their car hit a pole in Central Islip early Sunday morning, Suffolk police said.
Angel Pascacio-Fuentes, 23, of Bay Shore was driving east on Lowell Avenue at Dawn Crescent in a 1999 Hyundai Elantra at about 3:20 a.m. when he lost control and hit a pole at the intersection.
Pascacio-Fuentes was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, Rolando Hernandez, 20, of Central Islip, was airlifted to Stony Brook University Medical Center with injuries to his face.
