The driver who was critically injured Tuesday in a Valley Stream crash has died, Nassau police said Friday.

Police said David Jensen, 36, of East Northport, was pronounced dead at 7:31 p.m. Wednesday at North Shore-LIJ Hospital in Manhasset.

Jensen was driving west in a 2003 Nissan Altima on Sunrise Highway at 6:35 a.m. Tuesday when he lost control, crossed a grass median and struck an eastbound 2008 Hyundai Elantra.

The Hyundai caromed off the Nissan and collided with 2008 Nissan Pathfinder. Police said those drivers — two women, both 55 — were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
