Police: Long Beach man gets shot, walks home
A Long Beach man told police was shot in the abdomen Sunday at an Island Park bar and then walked home, Long Beach police said.
Police said the victim's friend called police about the shooting at 12:30 a.m.
Police responded to the victim's home, and he then was taken to South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside by the Long Beach Fire Department.
Long Beach police Monday did not immediately respond to questions about the victim's condition, the exact location of the shooting or the victim's residence.
Police said only that the victim told them he had been shot earlier at an Island Park restaurant-bar.
