Police are searching for four people they said used a handgun and a submachine gun to kidnap and rob a 40-year-old Lynbrook man early Saturday morning.

The incident began at 12:20 a.m., after the man, whose identity has not been released, pulled into the driveway of his home on Peninsula Boulevard and exited his vehicle.

Nassau County police said two men then approached the victim ordering him back into his vehicle -- and forcing him to drive to a nearby bank.

The man drove to a Citibank location near the intersection of Merrick Road and Broadway, police said, making a $200 withdrawal from the ATM.

Police said the gunmen then ordered the man to drive to Concord Street and Dawes Avenue, where they abandoned the vehicle -- and then him to a gray Nissan sedan, which was parked near Concord and North Prospect Avenue.

A woman and another man were waiting in that car, police said, and the four suspects then drove the victim to a Chase Bank location on Merrick Road in Valley Stream, where they ordered him to withdraw more cash from the ATM.

But, police said, the man had reached his withdrawal limit -- and was unable to get more cash. The suspects then took the victim to Roosevelt Avenue and Mill Road, where, police said, they took his wallet, keys and cellphone. They returned his SIM cards, police said, but ordered the man from the car -- and left him at the scene.

The victim then contacted police to report the incident.

Police said one gunman was in his mid-to-late 20s or early 30s, about 5-foot-10 with a thin build and wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt. The second gunman was also in his 20s or 30s and was wearing a hooded sweatshirt. The third man, the one who drove the second car, had a short fade haircut, police said. The woman was in her early 20s -- and had long, straight black hair, police said.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
