Police seek man who grabbed girl in Hicksville

A 16-year-old girl walking down a street in Hicksville was assaulted in broad daylight by a man who grabbed her buttocks, police said.
Now Nassau County police are searching for the suspect in the sexual assault and asking for help finding him.
The attack occurred on West Old Country Road Tuesday at 2:55 p.m. The girl was approached by the man, who grabbed her and tried to pull her toward him. The girl broke free and ran, and the attacker fled across Old Country Road north toward Jerusalem Avenue, police said.
The man is described as being in his 30s and about 5-foot-10 with a thin to medium build, short curly black hair, a thin mustache and dark eyes. He was said to be wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the attack to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
