Police seek pair who stole shoes from Commack store

The Fourth Precinct crime section is looking for a man and woman who stole a pair of athletic shoes from a Commack department store last month, Suffolk County police said.

On March 27 at about 3:40 p.m., a man and woman entered the Kohl's store at 45 Crooked Hill Rd. The man removed the security tag from a pair of sneakers and the woman then stuffed the shoes into a large blue handbag, police said in a release.

The two then left the store without paying for the merchandise and fled in a tan Chevrolet Trailblazer, police said.

Police have released an image of the couple from surveillance video.
