Gregory Hach
Republican
BACKGROUND:
- Hach, 55, of Oyster Bay, describes himself as "a conservative America First Trump Republican." He made a 2024 bid for the congressional seat but was among four Republicans disqualified from the ballot by the state Board of Elections.
- He is co-founder of Hach & Rose LLP, a New York personal injury law firm. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1988-91.
- He received a bachelor’s degree from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a law degree from Ohio Northern University Claude W. Pettit College of Law.
ISSUES:
- Hach said he's focused on "insane property taxes," illegal immigration and electric bills.
- He has sought to make a campaign issue out of LiPetri living in his parents' home at age 35, suggesting he’s out of touch with the economic responsibilities and facing many Long Islanders. LiPetri says he lives in an apartment elsewhere in the district, but lists his parents’ home as his permanent residence for voting, which election experts say is permissible.
- Hach said he’ll fight to give police more support and "crack down on gangs."
