Vice President Joe Biden will travel to New York to make a "major" infrastructure announcement Monday with Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, the White House announced Wednesday.
The trip comes about nine months after Biden and Cuomo announced proposals to upgrade metro New York airports -- especially LaGuardia, which the vice president once said looked like it belonged in "some third-world country." Among the ideas Cuomo has promoted is connecting LaGuardia to the subway and the Long Island Rail Road via AirTrain service.
The revamp of LaGuardia was delayed earlier this year by design concerns.
