Because the July 15 deadline for six-month disclosure of state and local campaigns fell on a Sunday this year, Monday becomes the actual day for candidates, parties and elected officials to reveal their committees' contributions, expenses, and cash on hand.

Some of the figures thus far:

Nassau GOP Executive Ed Mangano’s campaign collected a total $1,293,269 since its last filing in January, and spent $742,662. His closing balance exceeds $2 million.

Nassau Democratic District Attorney Kathleen Rice’s campaign took in $1,029,957, spent $256,000 and had  just under $2 million on hand.

Suffolk Democratic Executive Steve Bellone’s campaign fund for 2011 showed contributions of $116,370, expenses of $145,502 and a closing balance of $5,824. He has a 2015 fund, which has yet to show any activity.

In Suffolk, the “Tom Spota for District Attorney” committee showed $652,914 on hand while a court case is expected to decide if he’s exempt from the county term-limit law.

Rep. Steve Israel (D–Huntington) announced that his (federal) re-election campaign brought in $598,241 between April 1 and June 30 of this year. He’s running against Republican Stephen Labate.

More to come.
