- Castronuova, 42, of Elmont, cohosts the Newsmax show "Wise Guys" and makes her first run for office, backed by the Conservative Party.
- A nationally-ranked amateur boxer, she has worked as a trainer on NBC’s "The Biggest Loser," a sports commentator, stuntwoman, reporter and media personality.
- Her bachelor’s in broadcast communications is from Hofstra University.
- She founded the nonprofit Knockout Obesity Foundation for at-risk youth and Prisoners Against Political Persecution, a key organizer of the Justice for J6 rally for those charged in the Jan. 6 violence in the Capitol.
- The first bill she’d write would make it illegal to lock out family members trying to visit relatives in hospitals and nursing homes, including during a pandemic.
- She would cut crime by eliminating cashless bail and reaching out to children with programs that get them off the street, such as summer camps that promote healthy eating and fitness.
- Bringing back religious exemptions for vaccinations in line with her support of medical choice.
- She would fight against bills that limit parental rights to make medical decisions for minors.
