Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo's campaign raised $5.8 million during the first half of the year, according to campaign finance reports filed late Friday.
The campaign contributions brought his war chest for his 2014 re-election campaign to $19.3 million. The campaign spent $907,690.
A gala fundraiser at the Plaza Hotel on Central Park South in June cost the campaign at least $117,536, but it appeared to pay off. The campaign recorded more than 200 individual contributions in the two days afterward, going as high as $50,000, according to campaign finance filings.
Some of the larger contributors to his campaign included New York City management firm Roth & Sons, which gave $105,800, and Las Vegas-based Ultimate Fighting Productions Llc, which gave $50,000. Some individual contributors include Stephen L. Bing of Los Angeles, who gave $60,800, and Joseph Dimenna of New York City, who gave $50,000.
Campaign finance filings are due Sunday.
