Cuomo on escaped prisoners: 'We won't stop'

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo said Monday night that 1,000 law enforcement officials are on the case of two prisoners who escaped from prison more than two weeks ago in northern New York.
"The only strategy here is to follow every lead," Cuomo said Monday night. "It's been a tremendous effort by a lot of dedicated people," he said, noting state police, district attorneys and local police are involved.
"I believe we will get these guys. We need to get these guys," he said.
David Sweat, 35, and Richard Matt, 48, escaped June 6 from the state's Clinton County Correctional Facility. Sweat was convicted of killing a Broome County sheriff's deputy and was serving a life sentence without parole. Matt was convicted of kidnapping, torturing and dismembering his former boss.
"We won't stop until we get them," Cuomo said.
