Cuomo taps Kaiman as NIFA chief
Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo on Wednesday appointed outgoing North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jon Kaiman to lead the Nassau Interim Finance Authority.
The move marks the second gubernatorial appointment this year for Kaiman, 51. He was appointed special adviser to the governor for Long Island Storm Recovery in July.
Kaiman was unable to be immediately reached for comment Wednesday.
Cuomo also announced two other appointments: Paul Annunziato, first vice-president and financial adviser for Morgan Stanley, and Lester Petracca, president of Triangle Equities.
NIFA was created in 2000 by then-Gov. George Pataki as an financial oversight authority over the county.
