Veteran county hand Dennis Brown has become Suffolk Executive Steve Bellone’s chief legal adviser as $160,722-a-year county attorney.
That will be a pay boost for Brown from $141,520 which he currently makes as bureau chief in the law department.
Brown replaces Paul Margiotta, who will now head the new traffic violations bureau, who replaced Dennis Cohen who became Bellone’s chief deputy.
That still leaves Bellone to fill the other hat that Margiotta has been wearing -- that of acting director of labor relations.
