Republicans say they expect to raise $1 million for presidential nominee Donald Trump at the home of a Nissequogue couple Thursday.

Trump is expected to attend the private, $5,000-per-person cocktail party at 6 p.m., said Suffolk GOP Chairman John Jay LaValle. About 200 contributors are expected, including State Senate Majority Leader John Flanagan (R-East Northport), and Reps. Peter King (R-Seaford) and Lee Zeldin (R-Shirley), LaValle said.

The event will be held at the home of Steve and Carolyn Louro. Steve Louro is chief executive of Hauppauge-based Professional Group Plans, which specializes in employee benefits and sells more than $2.8 billion in premiums per year.

LaValle highlighted the fact that Trump will appear in Western Suffolk, in contrast to past appearances by Trump in the Hamptons. “It’s not summer money, this is hard-core local money, real straight local money coming into the campaign.”

Last month, Trump met with Republican donors at the Southampton estate of billionaire investor Wilbur Ross Jr.
