President Donald Trump will speak Friday afternoon at Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood, near communities rocked by MS-13 gang violence, according to two Long Island Republicans.

Trump is scheduled to speak at the Van Nostrand Theatre on the SCCC campus at 1:30 p.m., according to the sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity so as not to get ahead of the White House announcement.

The campus is near the Central Islip and Brentwood neighborhoods that have been the sites of brutal killings attributed by law enforcement to MS-13.

Rep. Peter King (R-Seaford) confirmed Monday night that Trump would appear in Suffolk and address MS-13 gang violence.

Suffolk Police Commissioner Timothy Sini, at a news conference Tuesday announcing a local opiate task force, would not say whether he planned to be with Trump on Friday.

Police spokesman Justin Meyers said the department would answer questions later in the week.

Tuesday night at a Youngstown, Ohio, rally, Trump touted his administration’s efforts to crack down on MS-13.

“We are throwing MS-13 the hell out of here so fast,” Trump said, calling the gang members “animals” and describing how they brutalize their victims. He said, “They slice them and dice them with a knife because they want them to go through excruciating pain before they die.”
