BACKGROUND:
- Hebert, 55, of Huntington, is making her second run for the town board. She also is endorsed by the Working Families Party.
- Hebert is the director of Kerber's Farm farm school. She spent nine years on the Huntington School District's Board of Education serving as a trustee, vice president and president.
- She has an undergraduate degree and master’s from Tufts University.
ISSUES:
- Hebert would like to tackle the issues of development and housing in the community. She wants to preserve the charm and character of the town while also providing innovative ideas about reimagining vacant commercial spaces.
- Hebert wants to be a voice for local small businesses to make it easier for them to do business in the town, including addressing the lack of parking in downtown Huntington.
- Hebert is committed to protecting water, green spaces and the environment.
