BACKGROUND:

  • Gregory, 54, of Copiague, is running for his first four-year term after being elected in 2020 to fill the remainder of Jackie Gordon’s term.
  • A former Suffolk County legislator, he has worked for three years for McBride Consulting and Business Development Group in Melville.
  • He graduated from North Carolina Wesleyan College.

ISSUES:

  • Gregory said he aims to continue to keep the town’s finances stable, including a favorable bond rating.
  • He said quality-of-life issues and ensuring residents feel safe are priorities, whether it's potholes or criminal activity.
  • He wants to work with developers to help find ways to create affordable housing to keep young people living in the town, including possible build-to-rent developments.
