BACKGROUND:
- Morris, 25, of Wyandanch, is president of the Wyandanch school board.
- He has worked for more than a year as a teaching assistant for the South Country Central School District.
- He graduated from North Babylon High School.
ISSUES:
- Morris said he would focus on creating more affordable housing in the town and creating more pathways to homeownership.
- He said he wants to have more businesses that offer career-driven opportunities and move away from tax deals for companies.
- He said he wants to create more transparency in town government and introduce community forums in each hamlet.
