BACKGROUND:
- Peebles, 66, of Glen Cove, was elected in 2021 and is seeking a second term.
- She previously served as Glen Cove’s deputy mayor and director of the city’s Industrial Development Agency.
- She is the clerk and treasurer for the Village of Plandome, an appointed, paid position.
ISSUES:
- Peebles said she believes in “smart, fact-based decision-making with regard to budget, capital borrowing and investment in city infrastructure and city employees.”
- She said she will focus on a “robust, comprehensive and community-minded revised master plan to guide the city’s future and ensure enhanced quality of life for its residents.”
- She said she will support business development and investment through leading the business advisory group and working with other civic organizations.
