  • Malin, 31, of North Wantagh, is deputy executive director of the Nassau County Democratic Committee.
  • He grew up in Seaford and is a graduate of MacArthur High School in Levittown. He has a bachelor’s in political science from Hofstra University.
  • He was a legislative intern in former Rep. Carolyn McCarthy’s office in Washington and previously ran for a seat in the state Assembly and Nassau County Legislature.

ISSUES:

  • Malin said that if elected he will focus on affordable housing opportunities on Long Island for professionals and young families.
  • He will advocate for property tax relief and assessment reform and to prevent tax certiorari firms from exploiting the system for excess profits.
  • He will focus on enhancing investments in public safety, county parks infrastructure and environmental protection initiatives.
