BACKGROUND:

• Kiernan, 55, of Southampton, is seeking a fifth term as receiver of taxes.
• She was first elected in 2007.
• She graduated from Providence College and earned a master of business administration degree from Fordham University.

ISSUES:

• Kiernan said she is focused on running the office “with utmost efficiency and fiscal responsibility.”
• The office collects more than $380 million in revenue between December and May and disburses those funds to school, highway and park districts.
• She said she wants “to continue to provide the highest level of service possible to our Town taxpayers.”
