BACKGROUND:
- Loguercio, 65, of Ridge, was elected to the Brookhaven Town Council in 2015. He has more than 40 years’ experience in the insurance, insurance technology and insurance claims industry.
- He served 12 years on the Longwood Central School District Board of Education, including four as president. He is a volunteer firefighter and first responder.
- He is vice president of the all-volunteer executive board for the Professional Insurance Agents of New York State and active in many civic and church organizations.
ISSUES:
- Loguercio said he is concerned about the environment, noting that natural resources must be protected.
- He said economic development and redevelopment are key to holding the line on taxes, creating jobs and maintaining services for residents.
- He said residents must feel safe and secure in their homes, neighborhoods and around town and that the town board will continue to work closely with all branches of law enforcement.
