BACKGROUND:
- Pell, 63, of North Sea, is a member of the Southampton Town Trustees, an independently elected body tasked with protecting bays, creeks and certain trustee roads.
- He was board president from 2017 to 2020 of a local food pantry, Heart of the Hamptons, and board president of Rotary Club of Southampton from 2014 to 2015.
- He previously managed a commercial fish dock and owned a Hampton Bays marina.
ISSUES:
- Pell said he hopes to improve communication between the town board and other departments.
- He said the trustees have “worked as a team” to accomplish their goals.
- He said one of his top priorities is to make Town Hall more “user friendly.”
