WILLIAM H. PARASH
Republican
BACKGROUND:
- Parash, 59, of Sag Harbor, is an attorney who focuses on commercial litigation and real estate.
- He serves on the Southampton Town Trustees, an independently elected body tasked with protecting bays, creeks and certain trustee roads. He was elected in 2021.
- He earned a law degree from St. John’s University.
ISSUES:
- Parash said the lack of affordable housing is driving away young people.
- He said a key priority is boosting the town’s police department with additional officers “so we can stay in line with the increase in population.”
- He said improving communication between the town board and community is another priority. He pointed to community pushback in Hampton Bays to a proposed battery energy storage system facility in a residential neighborhood that left residents “incensed.”
