- Hubbard, 63, of Riverhead, also is running on the Conservative line and seeks the supervisor’s office after serving two terms as a council member, from 2015 to 2022. He was deputy supervisor in 2018.
- He attended Suffolk County Community College and the Suffolk County Police Academy. He retired in 2014 as detective first grade after 32 years with the Riverhead Town Police Department, where he ran the youth Police Athletic League for more than 20 years.
- He was elected to a three-year term on the Riverhead School Board after being first appointed to fill a vacancy.
- Hubbard said his priority as supervisor would be to move forward with the sale of the Enterprise Park at Calverton (EPCAL) property to develop it for economic reasons and to generate jobs. He said he does not support a logistics center or cargo jetport.
- He said he would continue to support downtown revitalization plans like development of the Town Square gathering area that contribute to making Riverhead family-friendly and also would work toward implementing a transit-oriented development district on Railroad Avenue.
- He said he would work to help the Riverhead Ambulance Corps build a larger facility to help accommodate the increasing number of calls it is answering.
