ALBERT J. KRUPSKI JR.

Democratic

BACKGROUND:

  • Krupski, 63, of Cutchogue, is also running on the Conservative line.
  • He has served 10 years as a Suffolk County legislator. He previously served seven years on the town board and was a trustee for 20 years. He is a fourth-generation farmer, operating Krupski’s Pumpkin Farm in Peconic.
  • He earned a bachelor’s degree in plant science at the University of Delaware.

ISSUES:

  • Krupski said he is running on his environmental record and will work to improve coastal resiliency. He said he would work to keep the water clean for shellfishing, focusing on drainage, and continue work on land preservation and other water-quality issues.
  • It’s important to plan for development so there’s not a lot of sprawl, he said, to maintain the town’s vistas and rural character.
  • He said affordable housing is key to maintaining the town’s quality of life and that the town must act so young families can afford to stay and continue to be involved in the community.
