Republican

BACKGROUND

  • Giuffre, 62, of Stewart Manor, is a registered Republican and is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines. He is seeking re-election for a fourth term. His first campaign was in 2021.
  • He has been a trial lawyer for 38 years. He is the owner and founder of Giuffre Law Offices, P.C., a firm based in Stewart Manor that focuses primarily on personal injury and medical malpractice law.
  • Giuffre graduated from Columbia College in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in history. He received his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1987.

ISSUES

  • Giuffre said he wants to pursue tourism-driving initiatives as a means to generate sales tax revenue without having to raise taxes for residents. As an example, he cited the T20 World Cup Cricket tournament that Nassau County hosted in 2024.
  • Giuffre touted providing funds for emergency services, ranging from funding new emergency vehicles for local fire departments to providing a $76,000 “power stretcher” for the Stewart Manor ambulance crew that allows them to more easily move patients. He said he aims to continue providing that type of equipment funding.
  • Giuffre said funding road and traffic improvements is another primary focus. He pointed to current projects, including maintenance on Stewart Avenue between Covert Ave and New Hyde Park Road, as well as a prospective project near Garden City High School that would involve the redesign of Rockaway Avenue to add traffic lights and “reconfigure” the lanes to improve traffic flow.
