BACKGROUND:
- Gaylor, 60, of Lynbrook, is a private practice attorney seeking a fifth term. He is also running on the Conservative Party line.
- He is a former Nassau County traffic court judge and former Lynbrook Village associate justice. He is a retired lieutenant colonel after serving 23 years in the U.S. Army.
- He has a master’s in business administration from East Texas State University and a juris doctor from Hofstra University School of Law.
ISSUES:
- Gaylor said he will vote to freeze Nassau County property taxes in 2024.
- He said he has never voted for a tax increase in the county legislature and imposed cost controls and fiscal oversight to roll back taxes.
- He plans to work with Nassau police to keep communities safe and end hate crime and quality-of-life crimes.
