BACKGROUND:
- Scott, 56, worked as a New York City police officer for 20 years and rose through the ranks from a uniformed patrol officer to sergeant before retiring.
- He lives in Albertson and has been the community’s water district commissioner since 2021.
- He has been president of the Albertson Square Civic Association since 2012.
ISSUES:
- Scott said he is running for town board to take a proactive, “on the job” approach to improve the quality of life for North Hempstead residents.
- He said he will work in a bipartisan manner to repave more roads, improve street sweeping and stop illegal housing.
- One of his priorities, he said, is to continue Supervisor Jennifer DeSena’s tax cut and stop further tax hikes.
