BACKGROUND

• Gunn, 63, of Hampton Bays, is a registered Republican and is running on the Democratic, Republican and Conservative party lines in the general election. He is running unopposed for a second term. He was a general practice attorney in Hampton Bays, a Village of Quogue prosecutor from 2018 to 2021, assistant town attorney and public safety division administrator for the Town of East Hampton from 2010 to 2014 and an assistant district attorney for Suffolk County from 2003 to 2010. Gunn received his undergraduate degree from Southampton College in 1998, an MBA from C.W. Post of Long Island University in 1999 and his law degree from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2003.
