Robert G. Inzerillo

BACKGROUND

• Inzerillo, 64, of Valley Stream, is a registered Republican and is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines in the general election. This is his first bid for public office.

• He is a public safety officer for the Village of Valley Stream and is a security officer at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, Citi Field in Flushing, Queens, and UBS Arena in Elmont.

• For 31 years, Inzerillo has been a coach and director of the Valley Stream Hawks travel baseball academy, a youth organization for 8- to 18-year-olds.

ISSUES

• Inzerillo said that if elected he would “vote against any kind of cashless bail or other legislation that puts criminals back on the street before due process of law.”

• He said he would “make sure that the police get the funding to keep our kids and families safe and have every bit of resources they need.”

• He said he believes Nassau County residents “are taxed enough. ... The roads are a disaster, and there are so many intersections that were poorly designed and dangerous.”
