ISSUES

  • If elected, Epstein said he wants to promote affordability by reforming the county property tax assessment system with rebates for middle- and working-class homeowners and create a child care assistance grant.
  • He said he supports turning parking lots around Nassau Coliseum into “a new walkable, architecturally beautiful neighborhood” where young people can live on Long Island.
  • Epstein said he supports first responders and “making sure that they have the resources to serve our communities effectively.” He opposes Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman’s initiative to deputize private citizen gun owners who can be used to protect the county in emergencies.
