- Ross, 69, of Mattituck, is running on the Democratic and Working Family party lines in the general election.
- He has been in private practice since 1982.
- Ross was elected to the Southold Town Board in 2003 and served a 4-year term, ending his term in 2007.
- He was the village attorney for Patchogue from June 1996 to April 2000 and the village attorney for Greenport from June 1991 to April 1994.
- He earned a undergraduate degree from SUNY Cortland in 1976 and earned his law degree from Hofstra University Law School in 1982.
- He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1982.
