BACKGROUND:

Ukeiley, 55, of Setauket, is a registered Democrat and is running on the Democratic party line in the general election.
He was a District Court judge from 2009 to 2014 and from 2016 to 2021. He was reelected in 2021 to another six-year term. Also, Ukeiley has been an acting County Court judge since 2017.
He has been the coordinating judge of the Outlying District Courts in Suffolk County since January 2026.
Ukeiley has been an adjunct professor at the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center since 2013.
He was a partner in the Garden City-based law firm of Jaspan Schlesinger LLP from 1997 to 2008.
Ukeiley received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in 1993 and earned his law degree from Hofstra University’s School of Law in 1996. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1997.
