BACKGROUND:
- Lohmann, 65, of Smithtown, is seeking a second term on the town board.
- He won his first term in 2019 after 40 years in law enforcement, including being an investigator for the Suffolk County Attorney’s Office.
- He graduated from Suffolk County Community College.
ISSUES:
- Lohmann said he wants to work with owners of blighted properties to reinvigorate the structures.
- He said one of his top priorities is using Smithtown’s AAA bond rating to bring in funding for local beaches, parks and town-owned buildings.
- He said he wants to push to complete work on pending sewer projects in Kings Park and St. James, and work on bringing sewer connections to Nesconset.
