  • Murray, 60, of Levittown, is seeking a third term as Hempstead Town clerk. 
  • She won her first term in 2019 after serving six terms as Hempstead Town supervisor, the first woman elected to the post. 
  • She graduated from Boston College and Suffolk University School of Law in Boston. 
  • Murray said she will work closely with the town supervisor to control government costs, which will enable the town to freeze taxes in 2024 and promote affordability. 
  • She wants to expand online services for her office, extend office hours and increase satellite services. 
  • She said she will continue to focus on safety, including the Child ID Safety Program, which she implemented for Hempstead Town residents.
