Ex-county exec Thomas Gulotta to lobby Nassau government

Former Nassau County Executive Thomas Gulotta has registered as a lobbyist, representing five clients, including A. Vournou Construction Management Group, a Syosset contractor affiliated with a firm with a $20 million contract to build a new county crime lab.
Gulotta, a Republican who was county executive from 1987 to 2001, registered as a Nassau lobbyist Jan. 15. Documents state that Gulotta is in the process of filing lobbying paperwork with the state as well.
Gulotta disclosed that he plans to lobby County Executive Edward Mangano, five county departments, Comptroller George Maragos, the county legislature and Nassau University Medical Center.
His other clients include Vision Risk Services, a consultancy and third-party claims administrator; New York Ready Mix Inc., a concrete manufacturer; Rockville Anesthesia Group, which represents physicians and nurse anesthetists, and Merrill S. Zorn, the president of Zorn’s, a restaurant with two Nassau locations.
Linda Paganini, who is Gulotta’s general assistant, said in response to a query that his firm, Executive Strategies LLC, “does not comment on its clients or the services rendered on their behalf beyond what is already set forth in the disclosure statements.”
