Bill Clinton may cast electoral vote Monday in Albany

U.S. Secret Service agents conducted a “walk through” of the State Senate chamber Friday in anticipation of former President Bill Clinton attending New York’s formal electoral-college vote Monday, sources said.
Agents politely budged Capitol staffers out of the chamber to begin a security check Friday. “They expect him to be here,” a source said, referring to Clinton. He is one of New York’s 29 official electors who will cast the state’s block-vote ballot for Democrat Hillary Clinton.
New York’s vote is taken every four years in the Senate chamber in a ceremony that top officials often skip, instead allowing proxies to cast their votes.
But the Secret Service presence suggested plans are being made for Clinton to attend. Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo also is a New York elector.
