Four months into new term, Cuomo gets asked about 2018
If you’re one who can’t start speculating too soon about campaign 2018, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo more or less said he doesn’t expect to be going anywhere.
“There is nothing else that I’d rather do than what I’m doing. So I plan to stay as long as the people will have me,” the Democrat said Monday when asked if he plans on running again.
Cuomo won re-election in November and, for the record, still has 44 of his 48 months to go in his current term. Some Democrats think Attorney General Eric Schneiderman would like to run in 2018 if Cuomo doesn’t.
