BACKGROUND:
- Prime, 51, a resident of South Floral Park, is running on the Democratic, Republican and Conservative party lines in the general election.
- Prime is the former mayor of the incorporated Village of South Floral Park, having held that position from April 2010 through December 2021.
- Prime opened a private law practice in 2006 where he worked with a partner, but since 2018 he has been the principal attorney at The Prime Law Group, PLLC.
- He worked as an assistant district attorney in the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office from April 2002 through May 2006.
- Prime graduated from the State University College at Old Westbury in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and earned a law degree from Pace University School of Law in White Plains in 2001.
- He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2002 and the Southern District of New York bar and the Eastern District of New York bar, both in 2010.
- Prime currently serves as parliamentarian of the Amistad Long Island Black Bar Association.
