DEMOCRAT
BACKGROUND:
- Sillitti, 44, of Port Washington, was elected in 2020 to the state Assembly. She is also running on the Working Families Party line.
- Sillitti worked from 2015 to 2020 as human resources director for the Nassau County Board of Elections. From 2010-2015, she was the Town of North Hempstead deputy commissioner for community services.
- She graduated from the University of Georgia.
ISSUES:
- Sillitti said her previous experiences in town and county government help her to deliver results for Assembly district residents.
- She said that as an assemblyperson, one of her goals is to make living on Long Island more affordable.
- She advocates increasing state aid for Long Island schools, towns and villages to reduce reliance on property taxes.
- She said she knows the importance of being accessible and will return every phone call from constituents.
