Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo said Tuesday he given “zero” thought to running for president in 2020.
“I’ve given it zero thought. Is that clear enough of an answer for you?” the Democrat told reporters after an event in the Bronx. “Nada. Niente. Scata. Zero.”
Several years ago, some pundits put Cuomo on a list of potential Democratic presidential candidates for 2016 – if Hillary Clinton had decided not to run. That opportunity, of course, went by the wayside, as Clinton is now the front-runner for the party’s nomination.
