Hundreds of Suffolk employees now share insurance premium cost

Although most of Suffolk County's 10,871 workers continue to get health insurance without cost sharing on premiums, officials say there are now 667 employees hired since 2013 who are paying a 15 percent share of insurance costs.

Officials said those newer employees are paying $1.6 million in insurance costs.
