In fundraising for Hempstead supervisor, it's all Santino so far

Republican Hempstead Supervisor candidate Anthony Santino has outraised his Democratic challenger Rita Kestenbaum by about $345,000 in the January-to-July reporting period.
Santino's largest donation came as a $10,000 contribution June 10 from The Friends For Fuschillo, the campaign fund of former state Sen. Charles Fuschillo (R-Merrick).
Fuschillo resigned in December 2013 after 16 years in the senate to become chief executive of the Alzheimer's Association of America in New York City.
Kestenbaum's lone contribution to her campaign was $118 she donated herself July 2, according to campaign records. She also transferred $7,541 July 8 from her previous campaign for legislature in the 19th district.
Nassau County Democrats tapped Kestenbaum to challenge Santino in the bid to replace Supervisor Kate Murray, who is leaving at the end of her term to run for district attorney.
Kestenbaum was defeated during the March special election by Legis. Steve Rhoads, who won the race by 16 percent.
