Ommmmmm. Think Town of Islip Supervisor Phil Nolan. Think peace and love and meditation?
There it was, proudly slated on the official Town of Islip Web site: “Islip Town Supervisor Phil Nolan is pleased to announce that the Town will be sponsoring Spring Into Meditation class, hosted by John Bednarik. The town will seek to introduce residents to the basics of meditation, the goal of which is to reduce stress and improve overall health.”
Has the nanny state arrived in Islip — or is pigeon pose the answer now that we’re contemplating a post-Levy universe and the Islip GOP is this week preparing to announce a candidate to run against Nolan in November?
