BACKGROUND:
- Giglio, 54, of Baiting Hollow, is seeking her second two-year term. She also is running on the Conservative line.
- She was a Riverhead Town councilwoman from 2010 to 2020.
- Giglio has owned a construction company since 1997 and is a member of Local 138 of the International Union of Operating Engineers.
- She graduated from high school in California. She attended Stony Brook University but did not graduate.
ISSUES:
- Giglio said she favors stiffer sentences for repeat offenders, and speedy trials for those who can’t afford bail.
- She said she wanted to get the economy "on track" by supporting business owners and getting people back to work.
- She wants to protect water quality and ensure people who use wells are switched to public water systems.
