  • Pinion, 39, of Yonkers, is making his first run for U.S. Senate.
  • He also is running on the Conservative line.
  • He is a former conservative Newsmax host, political consultant and businessman.
  • He attended Colgate University in Hamilton, New York.

ISSUES:

  • Pinion vows to work to give the middle class a tax break as it faces inflation, push the government to become better stewards of the federal spending and strengthen accountability of private financial institutions.
  • To address the increasing flow of migrants on the southern border, he said he would push the administration to make the legal immigration system work faster and more efficiently, beef up border security with fencing and guards, and fix the asylum system.
  • He proposes to make reading a constitutional right for every single child that calls the United States their home to remedy the failure of schools to adequately teach reading and math skills.
