LIer Resi Cooper to direct Hillary Clinton’s NY effort

From now until April 19, the day of the New York primary, Resi Cooper of Jericho, a longtime strategic consultant for political candidates and private companies, will be directing state operations for Hillary Clinton, according to the campaign.
She was a consultant to the Clinton effort in 2008 and her Long Island liaison while in the Senate. She’s the former executive director of Accelerate Long Island and has done work for Broadwater Energy and retiring Rep. Steve Israel.
Cooper is coordinating the drive to stave off Brooklynite-turned Vermont denizen Sen. Bernie Sanders on the Democratic ballot.
